Tom Pruss, President, Polish-American Community of Toledo and Event Chairman for the 2020 Northwest Ohio Polish Festival, has announced that the board of the Polish-American Community of Toledo (PACT) voted to postpone the 2020 festival which was scheduled for May 29 – 31 at Club Sixteen, 316 King Rd., Holland until 2021. The festival is a significant fundraiser in the efforts to build a Polish Community Center in Northwest Ohio.

What a great time we had at the 2020 Kielbasa Cook Off! Thank you to all who came out to support PACT. PACT is a 501c3 non-profit group working to promote our local Polish Heritage and work with other groups with the same goals. The profit from the cook off will be used to give 4 high school or college age students a $1,000 scholarship. We work with the Toledo Poznan Alliance to help local Polish students in their education. We have given $30,000 to local students so far.…

PACT’s annual member’s meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 16 at the Rosary Care Center on the campus of Lourdes University in Sylvania. The meeting will begin at 6:30. The 2019 Scholarship winners are: Lauren Mueller is a sophomore at Owens Community College and is pursuing a Registered Nurse designation with an interest in cardiac nursing. Lauren is a Perrysburg High School graduate where she was involved in the theatre department. Her hobbies include cooking, baking, reading and traveling.
